Preview: Benicàssim Festival 2014

In old Blighty the presence of sun at a festival is always a welcome bonus, leaving surprised festival dwellers burnt, but happy. However, it need not be left to chance. Benicassim festival, situated in the Costa Azahar, Spain, offers the speedo’s weather accompanied by a host of acts to rival any UK festival.
2014 boasts another strong line-up with Glasto headliners Kasabian playing on the Friday, followed by The Libertines and Paolo Nutini over the weekend. Even sceptics to Pete and Carl’s reunion can’t deny it’s always an interesting spectacle to see the chaps back together on the big stage.
Headliners aside, there’s an abundance of rock royalty on offer from the Manic Street Preachers, Albert Hammond Jr, to the psychedelic styling’s of Of Montreal – for those looking for a more relaxed weekend, look no further than the delightful Cat Power and Kodaline.
With such a diverse line-up featuring British talents such as Jake Bugg, and indie-throwbacks Razorlight, it has all the potential to be one of the festivals of the summer.
