Student newspapers from across the United Kingdom have launched an investigation into racism on campus
Many news sources have reported the story in the past 24 hours of Faramade Ifaturoti, the first-year Warwick student whose bananas were defaced with racial slurs. This has caused many to criticise universities for failing to eradicate or deal with racism on campus in the way that is expected of them.
We have joined up with a group of student newspapers in launching a joint investigation into students’ experiences and opinions on racism at university. The survey is below—the results from all our surveys will be collectively pooled in order to understand students’ experiences of racism, explicit or institutional, in higher education.
