Festival: Solstice&#8217; out now"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Tickets for <a href=\"https:\/\/manchesterstudentsunion.com\/events\/id\/7276-alive-festival-solstice\/9201\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alive! Festival<\/a> are out now on the Students\u2019 Union website.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">The student-run festival is set to return on June 6, the third time the event has been held in recent years.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">The event will take place over 5 stages, with 30 students bands and DJs, and over 100 students involved. As described by\u00a0 the event will, according to William Clark-Steel, Station Manager at Fuse FM, fully \u201c[take] over the SU.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">A variety of student creativity will be highlighted, with student musicians and a stage dedicated to spoken word.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">The event coincides with the University of Manchester\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/mancunion.com\/2024\/02\/05\/university-announces-bicentenary-festival\/?swcfpc=1\">bicentenary event<\/a>, \u201cUniversally Manchester Festival.\u201d The festival is set to offer 150+ events across campus from June 6 to 9.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/mancunion.com\/2023\/09\/28\/alive-festival-all-you-need-to-know\/?swcfpc=1\">last Alive! festival<\/a> was held in October, with artists such as Sharkey Sounds, RIxY, and Half Priced Dream, all of whom are set to return this June.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Fuse FM\u2019s coverage of the festival in October made the shortlist for the Students\u2019 Union Arts and Media Best MMG project this month.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Issy Hatton-Williams, Deputy Station Manager at Fuse FM, is in charge of the d\u00e9cor for this Alive festival.
