Every year, University of Manchester students elect the eight Executive Officers that represent them within the Students’ Union. These officers play a major role in shaping the SU and student life at UoM.
The eight roles are: Union Affairs, City and Community, Wellbeing and Liberation, Activities and Culture, Postgraduate Research, Faculty of Humanities, Faculty of Science and Engineering, and Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health.

Key dates to look out for are when the candidates are announced (23 February), the opening of voting (2 March) and results night (5 March).
Keep an eye out for posters, stickers and other campaign materials around campus, as well as candidates on the campaign trail.
Candidates will likely release “Ideas Statements” at some point during the campaign. These are important documents laying out what the prospective officers consider priorities and how they will achieve them.
