Seeing as you won’t be able to take your significant other for a romantic meal this Valentines Day, why not cook them one instead?

If you’re not quite convinced of your own culinary abilities, here’s a selection of restaurant meal kits that provide top quality ingredients and step by step instructions. You can recreate sensational, restaurant quality dishes in the comfort of your own home!

 

Rudy’s Neapolitan Pizza (£) 

Rudy’s Bake at Home selection of pizzas means you can easily impress your date (or your mate) with the taste of Naples. All you need is a working oven! The pizzas come vacuum packed with instructions on how to recreate the perfect crispy pizza.

The Bake at Home section includes classic pizzas such as their creamy Margherita con Bufala and interesting vegan options such as Vegan N’Duja. The pizzas are all reasonably priced, meaning you can have the perfect Italian themed night in on a budget.

Baratxuri have a selection of stunning Basque Country dishes that you can recreate at home. Their menu is a selection of exquisite fish, meat and vegetable based dishes. This cook at home menu is perfect for foodies with an interest in Spanish flavours and cooking techniques. Options include whitebait with aioli, chorizo and chickpeas in rioja and queso manchengo.

Koffee Pot (££)

This meal kit is perfect for if you’re someone who prefers breakfast to dinner. Alternatively, if you’re planning on having plenty of drinks on Valentines weekend then these breakfasts will be ideal for soaking up your hangover. With vegan and vegetarian options, there’s a breakfast kit for everyone.

The kits include everything you could need to recreate an iconic Koffee Pot breakfast at home. They also have a ‘MancMuffin’ kit and an American style pancake kit, complete with streaky bacon and maple syrup.

Northern Soul Grilled Cheese (££)

The iconic Mancunian restaurant is selling Grill it Yourself kits via their website.

The website has a variety of meat and vegetarian options, including roast ham, pickled and caramelised onion chutney. All orders also come with two portions of indulgent mac and cheese.

The kits come with a £10 gift voucher that you can spend when restrictions are lifted! You also get instructions and a video tutorial so you can recreate the perfect melted toastie at home!

Honest Burgers (££)

Honest Burgers are delivering juicy burger kits nationwide.

The kits include buns, burger patties, cheese, onion relish, pickles and even an Honest Burger tote bag! Although the kit doesn’t include chips, they provide rosemary salt to spruce up any homemade chips you might make.

If you’re vegetarian or vegan, you can order their plant based burger which comes with vegan smokey cheese and vegan chipotle mayo. They also have gluten free burger bun options.
