Going away skiing for the holidays, or have family visiting from overseas for the festive season? Often, flights and connections are tiresome… or timings may simply be inconvenient. Whether you need a moment to relax and rejuvenate, or start your holiday in the celebratory spirit, Manchester Airport’s new Tribe hotel may be just what you’re looking for.
Following their launch event last Thursday, it was clear that their first impression did not disappoint. From the clean, open space layout to the vibrant, energetic music and décor, the setup encapsulated the lifestyle hotel’s target audience perfectly: catering to everyone. The event itself was both youthful and sophisticated. Spoilt by DJ Cris with constant lively music, whilst guests were treated to an endless array of Italian-inspired small plates and refreshments, the well-thought-out organisation and planning of the night foreshadowed the comfortable and easy-going experience of waking up in the hotel the following morning.
We were lucky enough to experience a night at the newly established hotel, and were able to gather all the information you need. Sleeping was both a comfortable and relaxing experience; where despite the noise emanating from the event, the walls provided an adequate level of soundproofing to sleep peacefully through the night. The layout of the room itself was equally well-thought-out. Plug-sockets were accessible at every convenient nook and cranny, drawers were laden with amenities (from steamers and hairdryers, to coffee and canned water), and the soft queen size bed that provided plenty of warmth and comfort… plus, if you’re going on a holiday with your bestie, best believe the en-suite and mirror lighting is exceptional for those ‘pre-flight fit checks’! With the well laid out storage plan, packing away the next morning was swift and easy; without that hassle of having to push and shove bags into tight corners of the room.
The sheer transformation of the hotel lobby was mesmerising, and a reflection of team-work and dedication to exceptional standards by the Tribe hotel staff. It had been completely altered into a tidy and modern dining area, decorated with touches of the Christmas spirit. The breakfast bar was fruitful with a range of options, and inclusive of all dietary requirements (vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, and more). Whether you’re looking for a traditional full English, a sweet treat, or some yoghurt parfait, you won’t be void of choice before your flight – saving you money on those extortionate airport prices.
Coming from someone who has slept in a range of places (from airport floors and capsule hotels, to 5-star resorts or sleeper trains), Mila finds the Tribe hotel to be ‘an excellent option for all travellers.’ Whether it’s the convenient location (just a 3-minute walk from the airport), or the extensive amenities included with your stay, such as the state-of-the-art gym or 24-hour snack bar, there are numerous reasons to take this overnight stay into consideration.
We would like to extend our thanks to Tribe hotels, once again, for the kind invite to their launch event, and allowing us a taste of the lifestyle hotel experience.
