Final-year students can now take the National Student Survey, which will give them the chance to share feedback on their university experience.

Students can take the survey by clicking here.

All students will be entered into a prize draw if they complete the survey, where they can win one of twenty prizes including, iPads, graduation day packages (including professional photography, gown hire and extra guest tickets) and vouchers for Deliveroo, Uber and Love2Shop.

The university will also donate £2 to several charities selected by the Students’ Union for each survey completed. These include:

  • Manchester Central Foodbank, which offers food and support to people in crisis.
  • The university’s cost of living support fund, which provides support to students facing economic difficulties.
  • Barnabus, which helps individuals in Manchester experiencing homelessness.
  • Ladybarn community hub, which provides support to residents in Manchester.

In 2023, 71.5% of eligible students responded to the survey, with the response rate increasing to 72.5% in 2024.

The survey’s responses also help universities in improving their teaching, assessment and feedback as well as academic support.

Following completion of the survey, students will be asked if they would like to participate in a Sexual Misconduct Survey.

It is not compulsory to complete this survey for the National Student Survey to be counted.

Throughout the survey period, Ipsos will regularly contact students to remind them to complete their NSS.

After students have completed their survey, Ipsos will no longer contact them.

The survey closes on 30 April 2025.
