“Hello, my name is fabulous,” and truer words have never been spoken by the legend Samantha Jones. The blonde bombshell graced our screens in 1998 in Sex and the City and has become one of the most iconic figures to ever grace television, now joining Carrie and Charlotte in Fashion and Beauty’s ‘On Screen Style Report’ series. No matter how outspoken, she was the realest of the Sex and the City girls, never compromising her freedom or apologising for it.

Always dressed to kill, Samantha always made an impression in any room she walked into. Bold suits, eclectic ensembles, and her signature red, defined Samantha as a total powerhouse. The question is, what would Samantha wear whilst dominating Manhattan today?

Classic power suits

Samantha, by the end of the series, was running her own PR firm and always looking fabulous while doing it. Samantha had a penchant for bright and vivid power suits, never being one to blend in with the crowd. Versace would definitely be Samantha’s go-to today, showcasing bold colours, textures, and shapes that are sure to stand out.

We can definitely envisage Samantha rocking a Versace suit to the office. She would most likely go full Versace with the accessories, pairing the suit with a bold purse, a matching pair of sunnies, and sky-high stilettos.

The LBD with Samantha twist

Cocktails with the girls, club openings, and date nights always meant Samantha’s calendar was full, so she had to have the perfect LBD on hand. Today, it’s assured that Samantha would love Schiaparelli. Under Daniel Roseberry, Schiaparelli’s eclectic designs scream Samantha. Just like at work, Samantha would for sure sport a full Schiaparelli look for a night on the town.

Samantha loved bold accessories to make a splash, so she would totally pair the Schiaparelli eye necklace dress with matching earrings and an updo, a pair of keyhole pumps, and gold clutch to pull the look together.

Trip to L.A with the girls

What better place for Samantha to whip out her sparkliest ensemble than La La Land? Another signature Samantha Jones colour was blue, and under the West Coast sun she would be sure to sparkle. The Loewe x Paula’s Ibiza 2022 collaboration instantly springs to mind when you envisage Samantha in LA, particularly the sequin embellished mini dress.

To complete the look, Samantha would pair the dress with glittered Louboutin pumps, the Cult Gaia fan clutch and Tiffany tennis bracelet. Does it get more iconically sparkly than that?

Lounging by the pool at Soho House

Samantha, or should I say, Annabelle Bronstein – Samantha’s British alter ego whose Soho House membership card she stole from the loo – beat the NYC summer heat at the rooftop Soho House pool.

To be honest, there is a real designer swimwear drought at the moment, but one can always rely on Pucci for the perfect one-piece. For by the pool rather than in the pool, some Paco Rabanne goes a long way paired with some toned-down Valentino shorts and kitten heels. In the Prada beach bag? Her classic Versace sunnies.

Samantha, much like Charlotte (but also not at all) was completely herself. She rarely compromised herself for a man and loved herself wholeheartedly which was reflected in her elegant and eclectic style. Notably absent from the reboot, And Just Like That…, Samantha’s presence, and style, will be missed by fans of the show. The best way to end? A classic Samantha quote for everyone to carry in their life: “I love you, but I love me more.”
