The Manchester Students’ Union is set to hold a referendum on whether or not they stay affiliated with the NUS, after its recent allegations of anti-semitism and Islamophobia
The club addressed a statement realeased by SU Executive Officers earlier in the week and insisted it would continue to tackle “damaging attitudes and behaviours”
Outgoing Exec Officer Riddi Viswanathan pointed out that low turnout could be an issue with the SU and suggested students might not be entirely to blame
